M.A.C.Field Rules

·
All
fliers must have current AMA license.
·
Club
members will have their membership card on display while in the pits and on the
flying field.
·
Mandatory
transmitter impounding is required.
·
A
correct frequency flag must be displayed on your transmitter antenna.
·
Frequency
pin must be on frequency board while flying or adjusting controls in pits.
·
All
engines must be equipped with a spinner or safety nut.
·
All
flight boxes and aircraft will be kept in the pit area.
·
No
taxiing or taking off in the pit area.
·
Take
off and landings must be done while standing at the pilot stations.
·
No
flying below 100 feet over the take off and landing area, when other fliers are
on the field.
·
No
running of internal combustion engines before 7:30 AM.
·
Anyone
flying a gasoline engine powered model must have a fire extinguisher approved
for flammable liquids in their flight box.
·
No
more than four (4) frequencies are to be in use at the flying field at any one
time.
·
Gasoline
engine powered models must be equipped with an ignition kill switch.
·
Absolutely
no flying over the pits or parking area.
·
All
engines over .10 must have a muffler.
·
Muffler
Rule: All Gasoline burning, spark ignition , glow, and diesel model airplane
engines manufactured prior to January 1st 1950 and replicas of such
need not be muffled.
·
Operation
of jet turbine aircraft is prohibited
·
Helicopter
hovering is restricted to the defined area adjacent to the pit area only.
·
Fixed
wing hovering is prohibited over the portion of the runway in front of the pit
area
·
No
dogs are allowed anywhere on the premises. If brought to the field they must
remain in a vehicle.
